Superstition Mountain Museum is located in an area full of legend, history and intrigue. You’ll find us in the rugged 160,000 acre Superstition Mountain range in the Tonto National Forest in Central Arizona. Our focus is on providing visitors with a historical look at the local area. Learn about the region’s Native American people, the life of early western settlers, artifacts, mining history, local geology and flora, industry, as well as the legends promoted through film and media.
Visitors are treated to a working display of historic large scale model trains and the 100-year-old Cossak 20-stamp ore mill, a state-of-the-art piece of mining equipment that was used around the turn of the century in the West. You should see it run! Apacheland and The Elvis Chapel bring us back to the old West movie industry and the role our community played.
Hike and climb, take a mindful stroll in the labyrinth, honor those lost in the Mountain, celebrate your own events on our grounds. The experiences are endless!
