Desert Born, Desert Bred
Locally focused | Social rent | Historic Neighborhood
Located in the heart of Roosevelt Row, Downtown Phoenix’s Artist’s District, The Churchill is a locally focused community gathering space and home to ten small businesses: three restaurants, two bars, a smoothie shop, independent grocery and three retail spaces.
The space combines food, beverage, and retail with arts, music, and community in an urban development with a shared courtyard intended to inspire local connections and add creative experiences to an already vibrant community.
The Churchill was founded by FTG Projects as a sustainable development and local community gathering space inspired by creativity, collaboration, and community. In addition to community events, artisan pop-ups, and continuous non-profit fundraisers, each tenant commits to performing acommunity service each month as part of their ‘social rent.’
At the heart of The Churchill is a 9,000 square foot courtyard designed to be shared space to dine, drink, socialize, and connect.
The Churchill was named to honor the local community in which it’s rooted, the Evans Churchill neighborhood, which is located within the Roosevelt Row Arts District in Downtown Phoenix.
The space was designed by local design architects called Local Studios, which is located just down the street from The Churchill. The structure was formed using reclaimed shipping containers as part of our commitment to sustainability.
