We teach the vintage American partner dance called “Lindy Hop” via weekly classes, monthly workshops, quarterly and annual workshops, and other various specialty vintage-themed events.
Our events range from student recruiting-focused events where we perform choreographed vintage routines, teach Lindy Hop, and then coach the crowd on how to socially dance, usually to live music. These kinds of events are focused on people who have never been out social dancing or have very little social dance experience.
To events that are built for current “Lindy Hoppers” as the community refers to itself. Where we will typically have classes during the day for specific topics and skills relating to the other “swing dances” including but not limited to Lindy Hop. Then there will be performances done by members of the community that will be more specific to Lindy Hoppers, which are typically less interesting to watch for non-Lindy Hoppers. Competitions are typically included in these kinds of Lindy Hopper events, but not always. And then typically Lindy Hopper events will have the option for newbies to enjoy themselves of course. These events will usually have live swing jazz, and the focus of these kinds of events will be on a celebration of the music and the dance.
Our Classes are usually 7-9 on Thursdays but times vary depending on the year.
