Refuel is a tale of two busted up old man jiu jitsu dudes wanting to provide something valuable for their communities.
After working grueling, physically demanding jobs (while rudely getting older and not younger), Daniel and Alberto wanted something that would help them thrive as they got older.
Both owners of mobile car detailing businesses, the grueling Phoenix summers were not kind to them. Neither was their favorite hobby, jiu jitsu.
After 20+ years of the hobby (and counting), they wanted something that would help them age without causing injury.
Both with a ‘figure-it-out’ mentality, they wanted:
- A place of respite from physically taxing work and hobbies
- A space to create community with like-minded people
- A spot to focus on alternative wellness
Refuel Body + Mind was born. Both with Mexican roots, they take great pride in representing Latino business owners and inspiring others to do the same.
